Ever since Amanda Bynes was arrested for DUI in late September, her downward spiral has become sadder and stranger by the day.
Last night, Bynes allegedly attacked a fan in a New York City club. Earlier today, she revealed that believes she has a microchip planted in her brain.
The latest news from Bynes’ whirlwind trip to NYC is that she was apprehended by security at posh Madison Ave. department store Barney’s after reportedly stealing a $ 200 hat.
Cops were called and witnesses say Bynes explained to the police that she had simply grabbed the hat to cover her face, as she was afraid of being recognized by fans.
The authorities believed Bynes claim that she had no intention of stealing anything and she was let go after being informed that she’s banned from Barney’s for life.
Sources tell TMZ that Amanda began “acting crazy” after she was caught and asked to re-enter the store.
Bynes won’t suffer any sort of legal consequences as a result of her most recent bizarre behavior, but the incident serves as a troubling reminder that she’s unlikely to stop making bad decisions until someone in her life intervenes.
Insiders say Bynes’ mother is planning an emergency trip to New York in hopes of convincing Amanda to enter rehab, but those who know her best believe she’s unlikely check herself in without a court order.
