Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 5 Results: Who Survived Movie Night?

It was movie night on Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 5, as the celebs showed off their moves and this fall’s pretenders and contenders continued to separate.

Alas, as the reality competition reverted to last season’s one-and-done format, Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 5 also saw a couple eliminated.

Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff were it.

The pair began the night knowing they were in jeopardy, and based on the scores from viewers and the judges last week, the duo became the third to exit.

“It’s been a great experience, putting myself out there and trying something new,” said Couture, the fighter who gave it his all, but couldn’t get over the hump.

Meanwhile, guest judge Kevin Hart added some interesting flavor to the judging panel, while two contestants notched perfect scores in pursuit of the Mirror Ball.

Who were they? Find out after the jump …

Couture and Smirnoff paid tribute to Rocky on movie night with a paso doble that included lots of high kicks and punches, but little technical merit. Score: 26.

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater gave a shout-out to Robin Hood in his waltz, and it made for by far his best effort of the season thus far. Score: 28.

Betsey Johnson and Tony Dovolani performed a contemporary routine to the Ghost theme, and improved a lot on her past two weeks. Score: 29.

Antonio Sabato, Jr. and Cheryl Burke may have started the night in jeopardy, but they quickly wormed their way out of trouble with a foxtrot. Score: 29.

Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev, predictably and awesomely, danced to “Power of Love” from Back to the Future for her cha-cha. Score: 31.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson did a quickstep to the Austin Powers soundtrack that smashing, baby. It was definitely his bag, yeah. Score: 32.

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas did a touching waltz that ended with the Duck Dynasty gal floating away, a la Up. Her score went up, too. Score: 32.

Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker and their Great Gatsby tango was crisp and smooth from the start, and good for another week on the show. Score: 32.

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd and his savvy Argentine tango made it difficult to believe that this man was the original stoner. Score: 34.

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy were everything, putting together a West Side Story jazz routine that blew the judging panel away. Score: 40.

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough performed a tribute to Singing in the Rain that was equally impressive, and left them tied at the top this week. Score: 40.
