Adrian Peterson thinks it’s so sad that the public will believe anything reported in the media these days. What he’s talking about remains a mystery, however.
The suspended NFL star apparently doesn’t want to elaborate on the alleged falsehoods you may have heard about him, in case you haven’t heard about them.
But if you have … society is just so sad sometimes!!
The running back and former MVP is not talking about his biggest scandal, the Adrian Peterson child abuse case that made national news a few weeks ago.
In that case, he issued a lengthy mea culpa explaining his use of a “switch” to discipline his son, even as he was suspended by the Minnesota Vikings.
Now he could be facing even more trouble, though, after this Monday’s Minneapolis Star-Tribune report that he may or may not be Tweeting about.
Peterson’s charity has been accused of improperly using its funds to pay for a wild sex party for Adrian and his booze-fueled crew in a hotel room.
A minor was allegedly involved, and this event led to a rape accusation against the football star, though he was not charged in the case by police.
Not directly responding to this, but likely alluding to it considering the timing of the Star-Tribute story and his Tweets, Peterson said the following:

The alleged incident took place in 2011, when Peterson, two of his relatives, and four unidentified women checked into a room at the Eden Prairie Hotel.
One woman saw Peterson having sex with another woman and got upset.
A loud altercation ensued, with Peterson reminded the woman that she should not get “emotionally attached” to him as he was engaged to someone else.
Cops responded to a noise complaint and broke this up shortly thereafter.
It’s not clear what the woman was expecting when she agreed to take part in this shindig, but Peterson’s All Day bank account was allegedly billed for it.
Whether it’s true or not – and it’s equally unclear how this surfaced only now – Adrian’s fall from fan favorite to whatever he is now has been shocking and abrupt.
Now that’s sad. Just in general.
